📚 Why Use a Password Generator?

Human-chosen passwords follow predictable patterns — birthdays, names, keyboard walks, dictionary words with number suffixes. Automated tools exploit exactly these patterns.

A truly random password gives attackers nothing to predict. A 16-character random password from a full character set has more combinations than there are atoms in the solar system.

The only catch: random passwords are hard to memorize. The solution is a password manager (Bitwarden, 1Password, KeePass). Generate a unique random password for every account and let the manager remember them all.

💬 Passphrases vs Passwords — Which Is Better?

A 4-word passphrase like correct-horse-battery-staple has roughly ~50 bits of entropy — stronger than most human-chosen passwords and far easier to remember.

Passphrases are ideal for things you need to type regularly, like your computer login or password manager master password. For everything else, use a generated random password stored in your manager.
