Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between raster and vector images?
Raster images (PNG, JPG) are grids of pixels that become blurry when enlarged. Vector images (SVG) use mathematical paths that stay sharp at any size.
What images convert well to SVG?
Simple logos, icons, line art, and illustrations with distinct shapes and limited colors. Photographs with gradients and thousands of colors do not convert cleanly.
Can I edit the output SVG?
Yes. SVG files can be opened and edited in Inkscape (free), Adobe Illustrator, or Figma. The vector paths can be modified, recolored, or combined with other elements.
Why does my converted SVG look different from the original?
Tracing an image to paths is an approximation. Complex gradients, shadows, and anti-aliased edges are difficult to reproduce exactly in vector form.
